Jordan (boy)
- yes it's trendy, but i think it's a new classic
- I like this as a male name more than a female name. It just has kind of an essence of a guy, and the name comes from the Jordan river, so it has a religious history.
- This is my sons name and I was told Jordan stood for the raging river like the real river temperament. His name suits his personality and I
love it as either a boy or a grils name.
- I've always liked this name...not too popular...but it sounds much better than a girl named Jordan
- i like the name because it sounds so nice and mature
- Is cute, sweet and I really like it. It's crisp and has a modern fell to it
- Jordan Alexander: although both fairly popular names, I love the sound of them together, they have a lyrical quality when said together
- JORDAN ISAIH: I HONESTLY DO NOT KNOW WHY I LOVE THIS NAME AS MUCH AS I DO ..HOWEVER ISAIH IS SOLID IN THE BIBLE....
- Jordan Lee - Jordan Lee is a very Jewish name in my mind, and as many of my other name favorites do not really reflect my Jewish heritage, it would be nice to have a name thrown into the mix of possibilities that does have a Jewish feel to it.
- Jordan Michael Edward: very masculine, inoffensive take-you-anywhere name.
In the Bible, the River Jordan (currently the border between Israel and Jordan) is where Jesus was baptized. It was originally given to children who were baptized in water that was said to have come from this river, which was brought back to Europe by Crusaders. The name Jordan comes from Hebrew meaning 'flowing down.'
